X Ray Lab

X-Ray-based techniques are a fundamental characterization tool in fields ranging from Materials Science and Engineering to Pharmacology, including Archaeology, Chemistry, Aeronautics, Electronics or Dentistry, among many others.

The X-Ray Service of the US has been designed with a general overview, so as to meet the needs of researchers from any of the Areas of Knowledge, as well as many companies from various sectors such as Construction, Aeronautics, Mining, Jewelry, ...

For this purpose, it has laboratories for the preparation of solid and liquid samples, as well as several X-Ray fluorescence spectrometers (XRF) with different configurations (micro fluorescence (μ XRF) total reflection fluorescence (TXFR)), X-Ray diffractometers (single crystal, powder, for testing under non-environmental conditions, microdiffraction (μ XRD)) and a CT scan equipment, being, globally, among the best equipped in Spain.
